Lance Malesh is MODE Global’s President and Chief Executive Officer bringing more than 20 years of experience in growth optimization and profitability through sales, management and technical expertise.

Prior to joining MODE, Lance held the position of Chief Commercial Officer of BDP International responsible for Global Sales & Business Development; BDP Transport & Tender Management; Marketing & Corporate Communications; and BridgeNet Solutions. BridgeNet Solutions specializes in data analytics relative to logistics and supply chain, as well as 4PL services and was ultimately acquired by BDP International. Lance was the President and CEO of BridgeNet Solutions prior to that acquisition.

Lance is an accomplished senior operations, sales and marketing executive with extensive experience in identifying and securing growth through intuitive analyses of competitive forces and directing cross-functional collaborations across business units. With his extensive operational and sales experience along with a hands-on management style, he has helped companies reduce barriers across all organizational and executive levels to meet and exceed business goals. Lance has bachelor’s degrees in both Business Administration and Economics / Finance.

Dan brings more than 30 years of transportation experience, in both sales and operations. He joined the Mark VII-Exel-MODE organization in 1990. Together with partners Phil Perone and James Backer, they’ve grown the Fenton, Missouri, agency to over $43M in annual sales. Their office is consistently ranked in the Top 20 among MODE IBOs, specializing in the recycling industry, with a focus on aluminum and plastics.

BRADLEY DICKSON

Bradley Dickson is a Principal agent for SUNTECKtts. He is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, including sales activities, customer and carrier service as well as support. During his tenure at SUNTECKtts, Bradley has consistently grown his workforce and office count. Beginning in 2011 with one office and only two employees, his business has flourished to upwards of 75 employees and four separate offices in Tennessee and Mississippi. Bradley has continued to play a key role in team development in an increasingly demanding and unpredictable marketplace.

Mike began his transportation career in October of 1983 with National Piggyback. He has always been in sales for the intermodal and truck lines, and he currently manages the Wylie, Texas agency office operations in conjunction with Caleb Fennell.

Justin has 23 years of experience in the logistics industry and is responsible for the MODE Transportation network of agents. Prior to joining MODE in 2012, he was acting as the Director of Sales for BNSF Logistics and led a sales team that was instrumental in growing the company from $50M in annual sales to over $500M over a 5-year period. He started his logistics career at BNSF Railway where he held various roles in sales and marketing. Justin has a diverse background in logistics with proven success working for companies that are asset based, non-asset based 3PLs and agency models.

Justin obtained his bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Kansas State University. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University with a focus on Marketing, Sales and Entrepreneurship.

ROBERT JERNIGAN
VP, AGENT OPERATIONS

Rob brings more than 25 years of experience in the logistics industry. Prior to joining SUNTECKtts, he was acting as the Director of Expedited Truck and Air Services for Landstar where he was tasked with growing the expedited vertical through sales and efficiencies. A large portion of his focus was placed on technology and system enhancements. Other areas of responsibility included Air Charter Services, Cold Chain Solutions and Drayage (Port/Ramp). During his career, Rob has always worked closely in an agent network environment assisting agents in increasing their revenue and profitability.

Rob obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics from University of North Florida, in Jacksonville.

Mike has 39 years of transportation experience in various management roles and operations. Prior to joining the Mark VII-Exel-MODE organization in 1995 and taking over the Twinsburg agency in 2000, he had been with American President Companies managing logistics and trucking operations. Mike grew the Twinsburg agency from annual sales of $10M to over $45M and has been a part of the MODE President’s Club for 17 years.

Mike received his bachelor’s degree in Administration and Management from Carnegie-Mellon University where he was also an assistant captain on their league championship ice hockey team.
Gio Rodriguez

YOSVANY 'GIO' RODRIGUEZ
SR. DIRECTOR, CREDIT & COLLECTIONS

Gio is an accomplished leader with more than two decades in the customer experience and collections industry. He has been highly successful in achieving collection targets and overhauling operations for public and private sector organizations. Most recently, he was with the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) where he spent almost eight years leading customer experience, billing and collections as their Sr Director/SVP. He also has a banking/financial services background most notably with Capital One bank where he led the collections efforts for the Plano Auto Finance division for 10+ years.

Gio earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida International University. He holds several professional certifications including Business Process Management (BPM), Collections Industry Professional (CIP), Professional Collections Management (PCM), as well as a yellow belt in Six Sigma/ Lean for Servicing.

Jeff has worked in an Independent Sales Office for MODE Transportation since 2010, with a commodity-specific focus on the Home Furnishings industry. His career began in Retail, as a wholesale buyer which extended to merchandising, sales, operations management, warehousing and fulfilment. After retail, he built a nationally syndicated consumer catalog for the home furnishings industry, which transitioned to multiple businesses in the fields of data management, analytics, predictive analysis and database marketing for top 100 furniture companies. Since coming to MODE Transportation, he has built a book of business focused on managed transportation for the wholesale furniture industry.

Mal Vivek is the CEO and managing partner of Avasoft, a products and solutions company headquartered in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, that leverages technology to achieve transformational results for their clients. She comes from a strong data science background initially starting out in computational biology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Center for Molecular Oncology. From there, she went on to build and lead Avasoft’s data science and app modernization practices, which focus on using business-first strategies to help customers leverage their data into unique targeted products that evolve their industries. Avasoft is now a leader in the transformation industry and has successfully led several enterprise digital transformation engagements for more than 500 clients over their fourteen-year tenure.

Jeff is the Vice President of Finance & Infrastructure at Jillamy, Inc, an independent agent for MODE Transportation, LLC. He started his career with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and quickly became the district’s top selling associate. Afterward, he entered the transportation industry joining the Mark VII agency network in 2000. In 2002, Jeff then joined the Jillamy, Inc team and opened their original office in Pipersville, Pennsylvania, and assisted in managing their Intermodal and Truckload operations. Over the years, he managed pricing, intermodal operations, and eventually took the position of Controller, and now manages all of finance and infrastructure responsibilities, including Information Technology (IT), overseeing their ERP implementation and departmental efficiencies.

Jeff earned bachelor’s degrees in Management and in Computer Science from Penn State University in 2000.

Carly is a Litigation, Claims and Risk Management professional with 30 years of experience and is a TMCA Credentialed Non-Attorney Mediator in Texas with a background in Personal and Commercial Liability (Auto & General Liability), Trucking and Transportation, Non-Subscriber/Worker’s Compensation, as well as many other lines including Excess and Specialty.

Carly attended Trinity Valley Community College, Dallas College and Texas Christian University where she pursued degrees in Business and Criminology and received a Certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution/Meditation. Carly is currently pursuing her Certified Claims Professional through The Institutes in Casualty and recently passed the Level 2 exam. Carly is a long-standing member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and is a full member of the Texas Association of Mediators as well as a CLM Fellow.
Normand Frigon

NORMAND FRIGON
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Normand oversees Agent Network & Relations, Business Development, Avenger Logistics and In-House Enterprise Operations.

Normand possesses more than 25 years of logistics experience covering all aspects of freight management. He started his career as Director of Operations for Midstates Packaging, an asset-based trucking and warehousing organization with locations throughout the U.S. In 2006, Normand joined RR&F logistics, the largest agent within the SUNTECKtts network with two other partners helping it grow from a startup to over $400M in gross revenue in 2021.

Normand previously held the role of SVP, Enterprise Operations before being promoted to COO. In his current role, Normand’s focus on processes and efficiency will ensure operational excellence allowing for significant growth both through our Agent Network and within our Enterprise Operations.

Sean brings more than 20 years of direct freight brokerage experience. He is currently our Vice President of Business Development as well as the Branch Manager of our company store located in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to joining MODE Global, Sean opened and managed the Florida branch of SUNTECKtts’ New York office. Sean started his carrier in the early 2000s working for GST/NYK Logistics. His experiences along the way have included managing multiple P&L's, contributing to the growth of established operations, turning around unproductive operations and building successful operations from start up.

Sean received his bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications from University of North Carolina, in Chapel Hill where he was a four-year letterman in Lacrosse.

Matthew joined the MODE Parcel team in 2018 as Director, Parcel Services. He was promoted to AVP, Parcel Services before taking on his current role. He brings 20 years of small parcel reseller and overall logistics experience. He started his career as a DHL Franchise owner in 2003. In 2005, he sold his franchises and became a sales partner with FedEx.

Mitch Plesha

MITCH PLESHA
VP OF DISTRIBUTION - RAISING CANE'S

Mitch began his career at Raising Canes Chicken Fingers in 2017 following 18 years of working in supply chain operation and improvement roles. He brings a unique perspective to restaurant distribution utilizing his experiences across many industries. In his current role, he manages teams responsible for consumable product supply from manufacturer to restaurant back door, sourcing and distribution of branded materials and FF&E purchasing and supply. He enjoys working a problem from different perspectives to find the best solution for everyone and then working with partners to implement it.

Mitch graduated from the University of Colorado with a master’s degree in Business Administration and holds a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Tina is responsible for MODE Global’s enterprise-wide data and analytics function, focused on evolving the way MODE Global derives and uses insights to drive business. Most recently, she led the Data Services & Engineering organization at Qurate Retail Group, the parent company of many significant retail brands, including QVC, Home Shopping Network, Frontgate, Ballard Designs and Zulily.

Tina is a highly respected member of the Technology community, having an extensive background in software and data engineering, analytics, integrations and digital solutions across various industries, including retail, healthcare, logistics and financial services. She holds a master’s degree in Software Engineering from Penn State.

CHASE SMITH
VP, CARRIER SERVICES

Chase brings year of experience on the 3PL and carrier sides of the transportation industry. Most recently, he was acting as the Vice President of Sales – 3PL for Forward Air where he was tasked with enhancing the 3PL verticals footprint and growing the segments revenue and profitability. He served as the Director of Pricing for Saia LTL freight where he reported to the CFO and managed the profitability on $1.4B in revenue through 30 analysts and over 250 sales personnel throughout North America. He also spent two years as the President of Vestra Logistics and yourLTL (3PL) where he focused on Military Truckload expansion with the SDDC and FEMA and organically built an LTL offering that leveraged top tier rates with a carrier portfolio consisting of the top 23/25 LTL carriers.

Chase obtained his bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University, where he was also a baseball player.

Seth is a sales agent for The Redden Group, a family-owned SUNTECKtts Agency that has been in business for 30 plus years. Seth has more than seven years of experience in logistics and transportation. Prior to the transportation industry, he was president of K-9 Achievers, a professional dog training service.

He attended Southeast Missouri State University where he studied Psychology.

Dan Egan is the Vice President of Sales for the MODE Transportation Columbus, Georgia, agency. Dan and his team specialize in Dry LTL, Temp Control LTL, Furniture LTL, Final Mile, Truckload and International Services. He has more than 30 years of experience in the supply chain industry, with past employers including CH Robinson, MW Logistics and Swift Transportation.

He has been with MODE for 25 years. Dan is a graduate of Iowa State University with a BBA degree in Transportation and Logistics. He was named a Rock Star of the Supply Chain in 2021 by Food Logistics magazine. Dan founded and runs the Kingpin Invitational, a charity golf tournament that benefits a local Arizona military charity.
Mario Garza

MARIO A. GARZA
NATIONAL MANAGER, 3PL - XPO

Mario began his career in January 2010 with United Parcel Service where he provided strategic analytical insights as well as solutions and services to enterprise clients managing multiple transportation modes for both domestic and international shipments. With more than 30 years of experience building collaborative partnerships in multiple industries, Mario’s engagements result in creative solutions that drive customer success. In 2023, he will continue to work with strategic partners to leverage the demand from companies both large and small exploring 3PL LTL managed solutions.

Mario received his bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison University in New Jersey and is currently working with SMC3 to complete CLTL professional certification.
Reed Janousek

AVP, INTERMODAL SALES - UNION PACIFIC

As AVP of Intermodal Sales, Reed has responsibility for all sales and strategy activities for both domestic and international customers. He began his Union Pacific career in 2011 as a member of the corporate audit staff. In 2013, he moved to the railroad’s Network Planning Department. Reed joined Marketing and Sales in 2016 and held both sales and marketing roles on the grain, energy, bulk, metals and commercial strategy teams.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received an MBA from Creighton University.

Davis held the position of VP, Logistics while working at Nestle Professional Beverages for 11 years until retiring in May 2020. Currently, he holds contractor positions as VP, Supply Chain for Impact Confections in Janesville Wisconsin, and Behrens Manufacturing in Winona, Minnesota. His past positions include VP of Logistics for Vitality Foodservice, which was purchased by Nestle in 2009 and VP of Operations at Alterman Transportation Group, a refrigerated LTL Carrier. Throughout his career, he has had responsibility for transportation and warehouse operations, sales support/solutions, manufacturing supply chain solutions and more.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Marywood College in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Jason is the SVP of Enterprise Operations for MODE Global. Before becoming SVP, Jason served as Avenger’s President. During this time, he was responsible for developing and managing the comprehensive internal and external operational and strategic plan that propelled Avenger onto the Inc. 5000 list and ultimately led the company into its acquisition by MODE Global.

Jason received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and brings more than a decade of transportation industry experience.
Mike Santimaw

MIKE SANTIMAW
CHIEF DIGITAL OFFICER

Mike has held numerous transformational executive leadership positions with his most recent role as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Rent-A-Center, one of the nation’s largest rent-to-own retailers. Aside from the operational duties as Chief Information Officer, Mike led a business-aligned digital transformation, reshaping the Rent-A-Center technology estate into a world-class technology organization that fosters innovation and operational excellence. These efforts also resulted in new consumer products and high growth for the organization.

Prior to Rent-A-Center, he served as Senior Partner at the innovation firm, 2THEDGE. Mike was responsible for developing and leading the information security practice, while also helping some of the area’s largest companies transform their traditional products and services through the leveraging of next-generation capabilities. Mike has also held senior leadership positions at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, a fortune 500 pharmaceutical company and BDP International, a privately held global transportation and logistics management firm.

When he is not working or with his family, Mike donates his time to support causes that further STEM education in schools and assist people with intellectual and development disabilities (IDD).

Tom has helped companies sell and deliver more effectively at a wide variety of Fortune 500/1000 companies (GoDaddy, Hilton Worldwide, Xerox, Flextronics) in senior leadership roles by removing waste from processes and building first class customer experiences. Whether he’s setting up or transforming service businesses domestically or internationally, he’s found that asking “why” multiple times is a universal tool for achieving organizational goal alignment.

Tom is a graduate of The Citadel-The Military College of South Carolina in Business & Accounting and is certified as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

GENE WELSH
SVP, INTERNATIONAL

Gene started his logistics career in June of 2006 and has held various roles within the International Logistics field from Operations, Global Tender Management, and most notably as a leader in the NVOCC Transportation segment since 2010. In Gene’s extensive background he has directly supported the management and development of various key transportation solutions from an NVOCC perspective, and as a consultant to many BCO client supply chains. Gene has also led the commercial oversight of all NVOCC Activity at his prior organization.

Gene completed his course of studies in May of 2001 at the University of Maryland in Marine Biology.
